Embracing the Magic of the In-Between 🍂

As we move through late Autumn, can you feel the shift in the air? We are currently drifting through a beautiful, liminal period, the "in-between" time. The Wheel of the Year is slowly turning its final revolution, preparing to close one chapter and open another.
We often rush from one season to the next, but right now, nature is asking us to pause in the doorway. This is a transitional point, a sacred threshold between who we were in the past year and who we are becoming.

As the energy of the earth descends and the light softens, this becomes the perfect time to turn our gaze inward. The upcoming Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year, is a reminder that we are intrinsically connected to the rhythms of nature.
Just as the earth rests to prepare for new growth, we too are invited to reflect on the past year. Regardless of how many cycles have passed us by or how many opportunities we feel we may have missed, now is the time to seize the present. We have the agency to step into this next cycle with intention and mindfulness.
Nature is constantly teaching us about the cycles of death and rebirth, but it can be a challenge to accept when a cycle has ended without fearing what comes next.
I am reminded of the ancient myth of the Phoenix. In Greek and Egyptian lore, this bird was a symbol of profound transformation. The Phoenix chose its last moment. It would build a nest and set it alight, allowing the old body to fall away so that from the ashes, a new, vibrant life could arise.
We have that same power. We can look at what no longer serves us, our old "nests", and bravely choose to release them. We can trust that when we let go of the old, we make space for our own rebirth.
As we approach the Solstice, I invite you to embrace this cycle without fear. Honor the endings, for they are simply the beginning of your next beautiful adventure.
Here are three questions to help you navigate this liminal space and prepare for the new cycle:
1. The Burning of the Nest
The Phoenix chooses to release its old form to make way for the new. What habits, fears, or situations from the past year have reached their natural end? What are you ready to lovingly set down in the fire of transformation so you don't have to carry it into the new cycle?
2. Sitting in the Doorway
We are currently in the "in-between" times. How does it feel to sit in this pause? When you look back at the person you were at the beginning of this year, and the person you are now, what is the biggest lesson you have learned about yourself?
3. The Rebirth
The Winter Solstice marks the return of the light. As you prepare to step into a new cycle, what is one specific intention or feeling you want to "birth" into your life? If you could rise from the ashes with a new strength or quality, what would it be?
P.S. I always love hearing from you! Whether you have a question, a request for a specific class, or if you simply feel it's time to pause these emails, just hit reply and let me know. I am here to support you however I can.
With love & light,
Gaby Knight.
